Apollinaire Louis Sicard was a French painter, draftsperson, and pastellist who lived from 1806 to 1881. His artistic training included study under the artists Pierre Révoil and Antoine Berjon. Sicard is also documented as the parent of the artist Nicolas Sicard. Throughout his life, he worked within the French art tradition, producing works in painting, drawing, and pastel. His career reflects the educational lineage of his mentors and his role in a family of artists.
