Paul Jouve

Paul Jouve was a French artist who lived from 1878 to 1973 who worked as a painter, sculptor, illustrator, and ceramist. Born into an artistic family, he was the child of the artist Auguste Jouve. His formal training included studies under the artist Henri-Patrice Dillon, which informed his diverse practice across multiple media. Throughout his long career, Jouve produced work in painting and sculpture while also contributing as an illustrator and creating ceramic pieces. His output reflects a sustained engagement with visual art forms over nearly a century of creative activity in France.
