Every morning at 7 a.m. the door swung open and the press started humming, turning out theatre posters, sheet music covers, and magazine illustrations until the last train home. One day they tucked a stack of old stock into a red folder labeled “Print Collection” and forgot to throw it away.
That folder is why you can still find a Guy Little photograph or a music-hall poster in a charity shop three tubes away from the West End.
