I.M.

I.M. is an artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at Finnish National Gallery.

This Finnish painter liked to park his easel in quiet northern towns, turning old gates and crumbling abbeys into glowing architecture lessons. He once lugged his paints up a ladder to capture the top of a city gate in Senlis, France, where the morning light made the stone look warm as toast. His works belong in Gallery Tiles because you can still stand in front of that same gate, Kaupunginportti, where it leans over a cobbled lane, unchanged since his brush passed by.
