Peter Hansen was a Danish painter who lived from 1868 to 1928. He studied under the artist Kristian Zahrtmann, an experience that informed his artistic development during his career. Hansen was also the sibling of the artist Anna Syberg, placing him within a family of creative practitioners in the Kingdom of Denmark. His work remains a part of the documented history of Danish painting from this period.
