Besse Giersing

Besse Giersing was a Danish painter and actor who lived from 1896 to 1944 within the Kingdom of Denmark. She was the child of the artists Anna Syberg and Fritz Syberg, growing up in a household deeply rooted in artistic practice. Her career path included a period of study under the artist Harald Giersing, who later became her husband. This personal and professional connection to Harald Giersing defined much of her life and work. As a painter, she contributed to the Danish art scene during the early twentieth century, maintaining a presence alongside her documented work as an actor.
