François-Élie Vincent

François-Élie Vincent was a painter and portraitist from the Republic of Geneva who lived from 1708 to 1790. His career included teaching the artist François-André Vincent, who was also his son. He further instructed the painter Adélaïde Labille-Guiard. These documented relationships highlight his role in guiding the next generation of artists. As a Genevan painter, he contributed to the artistic community during the eighteenth century through his work and mentorship.
