Gertrude Christian Fosdick

Gertrude Christian Fosdick was an American artist who lived from 1862 to 1961. Her documented occupations include work as a writer, painter, and sculptor. During her training, she studied under the artist Jules Lefebvre. She also studied under the artist William Adolphe Bouguereau. These educational experiences formed the foundation of her practice across multiple disciplines. Her career spanned nearly a century within the United States.
