Born in the 20th-century Romanian tradition, Foca Dumitru made prints and paintings of landscapes and birds. In the 1988 print Pasărea serii, soft lines and muted colors suggest dusk over open fields. Another piece, simply titled Peisaj, shows a quiet country road disappearing into distant hills.
