Nicolas Guibal

Nicolas Guibal was a painter and university teacher active during the eighteenth century. Born in 1725 and passing in 1784, he held citizenship in the Duchy of Lorraine. His professional life combined the practice of painting with academic instruction at the university level. Among his notable students were the artists Heinrich Füger and Johann Heinrich von Dannecker, both of whom studied under his guidance.
