Gregorio Ferro was a Spanish painter who lived from 1742 to 1812. He studied under the artist Anton Raphael Mengs, an influential figure in his artistic development. Later in his career, Ferro taught the artist José de Madrazo y Agudo, passing on his knowledge to the next generation. His life and work remain documented within the history of Spanish art during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
