Heinrich Lauenstein was a Kingdom of Prussia artist.

Heinrich Lauenstein was a German painter and university teacher active during the nineteenth century. Born in the Kingdom of Prussia, he lived from 1835 to 1910. His artistic formation included study under the painter Karl Ferdinand Sohn. Later in his career, Lauenstein assumed a role as an educator, where he taught the artist George Luks. His life and work remain documented through his dual practice as a creator and instructor. This record reflects his standing within the Prussian artistic community of his time.
