Artist
Eugenio Maccagnani

Eugenio Maccagnani is an artist. 4 works are cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
Eugenio Maccagnani couldn’t sit still. He started as a painter, then hopped to sculpture, and ended up behind a camera, just to keep things interesting. While most photographers of the 1880s were chasing sharp focus, he trained his lens on soft, dreamy scenes, like Dolce far Niente, a woman stretched across a chaise in pure laziness.
Why he belongs here: tap into Adam and Eve, a photograph so quiet it feels like the garden after the fall.
