John Havinden

John Havinden is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

John Havinden made photographs of coastal art in 1930s England. In Beach Sculpture, Cornwall, he captured a temporary sand figure standing on a shoreline, framed by rocks and waves. The black-and-white print shows everyday materials shaped by hand and tide, freezing a fleeting shape before the sea could erase it.
