Victoria Åberg is an artist. 3 works are cataloged here, principally at Finnish National Gallery.

Victoria Åberg wasn’t just painting landscapes, she was hiking to them first. The 19th-century Finnish artist lugged her paints through forests and up castle ruins, sketching Siltamaisema Saksasta right where the river met the road. She painted the same sweeping views again and again, like a musician refining a melody, until the light and mood felt just right.

You’ll find her work next to the 1860s section in the Ateneum’s Finnish masters room, where Näköala Olavinlinnaan hangs quietly, but stand close, and you’ll hear the wind in the pines she captured.
