Johann Israel de Bry was a German engraver and publisher active during the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. Born in 1565 and passing in 1611, he worked as an illustrator, copper engraver, and draftsperson. He was the child of the artist theodor de Bry and the sibling of the artist Johann theodor de Bry. His professional life centered on the creation and dissemination of visual works through engraving and publishing.
