Lala Deen Dayal

Lala Deen Dayal is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Lala Deen Dayal made early photographs in the late 1800s when cameras were still new. He left us a picture of a royal procession and another of a palace courtyard, both shot on glass plates that needed long exposures. That was how photographers worked before fast film.

Look for Untitled, the one with the horses and riders, to see how the camera first froze those moments.
