Mangoni Despo
Mangoni Despo is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Athens School of Fine Arts.
Mangoni Despo shaped raw metal into figures and faces in the 1960s. Three surviving pieces show their hand: the 1966 sheet-metal nude, the 1965 metal portrait Daughter’s head, and the 1967 pencil Outdoor study. Little more is recorded, but these works sit squarely in mid-century studio practice, where metal became a skin for form. Tap the Daughter’s head to see how a single sheet can become both face and feeling.
