Teodor Hrib

Teodor Hrib shaped small plaster figures and ink drawings in the 1800s academic tradition. You’ll find his “Studiu de gips,” a plaster study of a draped torso, alongside a seated old woman carved in wood, “Bătrână pe scaun.” A drawing copied from Géricault’s figures shows how he borrowed poses, while his print “Poetul în grădină” adds a Romanian garden scene.
