This is a set of five small, grainy prints showing close-up body parts. The first has hands covering a face, the second a side of a torso, the third a hand on a chest, the fourth a mouth with a brush inside, and the last a face with a hand near the mouth. The colors are mostly faded yellows and whites, like old photos. Notice how the images feel raw and personal, almost like private moments caught by accident. The artist used a simple printing method to make them look rough and real. Look up Bruce Nauman next to see how he played with ideas of identity and performance.
