This painting shows two people sitting in rocking chairs outside a bright, colorful building. The woman on the left wears a pink dress and rests her chin on her hand, while the man on the right holds a book in his lap. The chairs look almost like they’re moving, thanks to the thick, textured brushstrokes. The colors pop—especially the red of the man’s chair and the woman’s headscarf—making the scene feel lively.
