Spălatul rufelor is a 1919 by Ștefan Dimitrescu, depicting Character, held at Bucharest Municipality Museum.
This painting shows two women in a room. One woman is standing and washing clothes in a large bowl. The other woman is sitting on a bench, wearing a yellow shirt and white skirt. The women are in a simple room with white walls. There are some objects on a table behind them, but they are not clear. The painting is done in a style that makes the colors and shapes look rough and textured. The painting is held at the Museum of Ethnography.
