This picture is a black-and-white drawing of plants and small animals. You see a frog sitting on a leaf, a snail on a branch, and a big apple. Butterflies, a bird, and bugs fill the rest of the space. The lines are sharp and detailed, showing every leaf and wing clearly. The artist used tiny lines to build up shadows and textures. This was a common way to make engravings look three-dimensional. Want to know more? Look up engraving.
