This painting shows three tall, simple figures standing side by side. The one on the left wears a rough, textured robe with bold zigzag lines. The other two are nearly naked, with smooth, pale skin and long, straight limbs. Their faces are blank and featureless, almost like masks. The zigzag robe stands out—it’s the only thing with sharp detail in an otherwise loose, sketchy style. The figures look stiff and quiet, with no emotion or movement. If you like this style, check out Jacob Epstein.
