Untitled is a 1962 gouache by Jannis Kounellis, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This is just black ink on white graph paper. There are arrows pointing up, a cross shape, and some short lines scattered around. The lines are thick and uneven, like they were drawn in a hurry. Nothing else is here—no colors, no faces, no background. The paper has a grid in the background, but the ink covers it up. The drawing looks simple, but it’s all the artist put down. If you like this, check out gouache next—it’s the paint used here.
