This is just black ink on white graph paper. There are arrows pointing up, a cross shape, and some short lines scattered around. The lines are thick and uneven, like they were drawn in a hurry. Nothing else is here—no colors, no faces, no background. The paper has a grid in the background, but the ink covers it up. The drawing looks simple, but it’s all the artist put down. Jannis Kounellis (Greek: Γιάννης Κουνέλλης; 23 March 1936 – 16 February 2017) was a Greek Italian artist based in Rome. A key figure associated with Arte Povera, he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome.
