Hemerocallis Flava is a 1850 watercolor by Johann Knapp, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This painting shows a cluster of bright yellow flowers with long, slightly curved petals. The stems are tall and green, some bending at the top while others stand straight. A few dried leaves lie at the bottom, adding texture to the scene. The flowers look like daylilies, and the artist paid close attention to each leaf and petal. The watercolor style keeps the colors soft and natural. If you like this kind of detailed plant art, check out the Victoria and Albert Museum.
A botanical drawing by Johann Knapp from 1850 depicts *Hemerocallis flava*, showing slender green leaves on the left side of the sheet and a green stem bearing yellow flowers on the right, which extend toward the foliage. The blossoms consist of six pointed petals arranged around a central cluster of yellow stamens.
