This print is mostly black, white, and a bright yellow-orange. Inside a big circle, there are loose lines and shapes that don’t form anything clear—just scribbles, curves, and blobs. Some lines cross each other, and the yellow pops out in thick, uneven strokes. The artist used two printmaking methods—aquatint and drypoint—to create the texture. The lines look hand-drawn and rough, almost like a sketch that wasn’t smoothed out. Next, check out Mario Merz to see how he mixed everyday objects with abstract art.
