This painting is a wild mix of colors and shapes. You see thick brushstrokes of orange, red, and pink slashing across a light background. There’s a vague figure on the right—maybe a person—but it’s hard to tell. The colors clash and blend at the same time, with some areas looking almost scratched-in. The paint is applied so heavily in spots that it almost stands out from the paper. This technique makes the colors feel rough and alive, like they’re still wet. It’s not trying to look realistic at all. If you like this bold, messy style, look up impasto next.
