About this work

This image shows a single black shape on a white background. The shape looks like a rough, uneven rectangle with thick, wavy edges. Inside it, there are faint vertical lines that almost disappear into the dark. The artist made this using ink on paper, which is called lithography. The lines inside the shape are barely there, making the whole thing feel heavy and quiet. To learn more, check out how lithography works.
