This painting is made of big, flat blocks of color. Some squares are light pink, others are deep blue or muddy brown. The shapes don’t line up perfectly—they’re cut off at the edges like someone glued them down unevenly. A few tiny white rectangles peek out here and there. The colors feel muted, like old fabric or faded walls. The artist used a printer to make this, not brushes. That’s unusual for a painting. Look up Ruth Root next to see more of her abstract work.
