lasimaalaussuunnitelma, kasviornamentiikkaa, sieniä is a work by Salomo Wuorio, held at Finnish Heritage Agency.
This drawing shows a window divided into six small panes. The top three panes have bright yellow backgrounds with green leaves and red berries. The bottom three panes are clear glass with little red mushrooms and green plants below them. The window frame looks brown with a red sill at the bottom. The artist used simple shapes and bold colors to fill each pane. The mushrooms and leaves repeat in a pattern, making the window look like a colorful design. Look up cross-hatching to see how artists create shading with lines.
Salomo Wuorio spent his days hunched over sketches of glass windows, turning paint into light before the glass even left the workshop.
