This print shows a repeating pattern of small, dark buildings with pointed roofs. The shapes are all the same size, packed tightly together in rows. The colors are mostly dark blues and grays, with some lighter greenish spots on the roofs. The artist used a printing method called mezzotint, which creates smooth shading with tiny scratches. This makes the buildings look like they’re fading into the distance. Look up Yozo Hamaguchi to see more of his geometric prints.
