McLean & Haes

McLean & Haes is a Romanticism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

McLean & Haes made hand-colored prints documenting British sporting life in the 1830s. Their only known work in our set is H Beard Print Collection (29th August 1837), a lithograph showing racehorses and crowds at York’s Knavesmire track on a late-summer afternoon. If prints of 19th-century race days catch your eye, tap in to see more scenes straight from the sporting press of the day.
