Artist
A. Victor Coverley-Price
A. Victor Coverley-Price is an Orientalism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
Watercolour stains always dried darker than he wanted, so A. Victor Coverley-Price kept a hair-dryer in his bag and a smirk on his face. The machine roared while he sketched Tehran, Isfahan, and Kermanshah, leaving only the right amount of blur around minarets and staircases. The 1943 sheet called Kermanshah, Iran shows a single rooftop caught between dust and dawn; tap it to watch the city wake up in washes of warm ochre.
