Wojciech Kolasiński

Wojciech Kolasiński is an Impressionism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at National Museum in Warsaw.

Wojciech Kolasiński showed up in 19th-century Warsaw with a palette of crushed petals and a habit of painting bouquets on kitchen tables instead of grand still lifes. He once copied a whole bowl of tulips three times in a row just to get the light right around 5 p.m. Grab his Flowers from 1873: the reds sit like wet lips on the cloth and the stems look freshly cut, as if they might still be breathing.
