Holger Grønvold

Holger Grønvold was a Danish painter and drawing teacher who lived from 1850 to 1923. During his career, he instructed several notable artists, including Gad Frederik Clement, Einar Hein, J.C. Schlichtkrull, Peter Rostrup Bøyesen, Vilhelm Hammershøi, and Fritz Syberg. His role as an educator left a mark on the next generation of Danish painters. Grønvold worked within the Kingdom of Denmark, contributing to the local art community through both his own painting and his teaching duties.
