Paul Simmons

Paul Simmons is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.

Paul Simmons was the kind of draftsman who kept a pocket sketchbook in one jacket and a folded newspaper in another, just in case. He turned the humble act of waiting for the Tube into a daily studio: quick pencil lines that caught flickering platform lights or the shadows of commuters. The Victoria & Albert Museum asked him for their 150th birthday book, and he filled its pages with the same restless, ink-dry scribbles he’d been trading with friends for decades. Tap his V&A album to see what a London afternoon looks like when you really look.
