Franz Adam was a German painter who lived from 1815 to 1886, born into a family of artists as the son of Albrecht Adam and the brother of Benno Adam. He worked as a court painter, lithographer, watercolorist, and battle painter, contributing to the artistic landscape of his time. His career included teaching the artist Mihály Munkácsy. Although his nationality is recorded as the Kingdom of Italy, his primary identity remains that of a German painter known for his diverse documented occupations within the visual arts.
