Artist
?possibly Nicholas Froment
?possibly Nicholas Froment is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Hunt Museum.
This artist painted religious scenes on wooden panels in the mid-1400s. One of their works here is God the Father, a painted altarpiece that shows the Father seated in heavy gold drapery against a deep blue background. These northern European panels often mix real gold leaf with jewel-like colors, a style called International Gothic that feels both weighty and dreamlike.
