This printmaker worked in the late 1700s, turning current events into crisp black-and-white images for London audiences. One sheet from 30 September 1782 shows a busy street scene titled H Beard Print Collection, packed with carriages and top-hatted figures. These sheets were sold folded and unfolded, so buyers could paste them into books or pin them to walls.
