Estanislao Suárez Inclán

Estanislao Suárez Inclán is a Post-Impressionism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Museo del Prado.

Estanislao Suárez Inclán liked to paint the quiet corners of daily life, empty chairs by a window, a half-folded tablecloth, morning light on a wooden floor. In 1892 he set aside brushes for a week and made a single oil painting called Still Life with a Basket of Apples, where every apple casts a slightly different shadow. He never chased fame; the painting just sat in his studio until his niece donated it years later.

Find Still Life with a Basket of Apples and you’ll see why small moments can feel like big discoveries.
