Hirokata Takimura

Hirokata Takimura was a Japanese painter and ukiyo-e artist active during the late nineteenth century. Born in 1868, he lived until 1889. He was the sibling of the artist Ogata Gekkō. Takimura studied under the artist Kawanabe Kyōsai. His documented career identifies him as a painter within the ukiyo-e tradition.
