Kano Sosen Narinobu was a Japanese painter of the Kano school, the hereditary lineage of professional painters that dominated Japanese art from the fifteenth through the nineteenth century and supplied official artists to the shogunate and major temples. Working in the school's established manner with ink and color, he treated traditional Kano subjects drawn from nature. A surviving hanging scroll, Geese and Reeds, is held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Documentary details of his life are sparse, and he is known primarily through works bearing his signature within the Kano tradition.
