Abraham Furnerius was a Dutch Republic artist.
Abraham Furnerius was a Dutch Golden Age draughtsman and painter who lived from 1628 to 1654 within the Dutch Republic. His documented career includes work as both a painter and a draftsperson. During his studies, he trained under the artist Rembrandt, an association that shaped his artistic development. Later in his brief life, Furnerius passed on his knowledge by teaching the artist Gerrit Battem. His contributions remain part of the historical record of Dutch art from the seventeenth century, defined by his roles as a student of Rembrandt and a mentor to Battem.
