Pieter Holsteijn

Pieter Holsteijn was a Dutch Golden Age painter and engraver active in the Dutch Republic from 1585 to 1662. His documented occupations include work as a painter, graphic artist, printmaker, copper engraver, and draftsperson. He is recognized for his contributions to art during this period while raising two children who also became artists. His son Cornelis Holsteyn followed in his footsteps, as did his other son, Pieter Holsteyn II.
