Artist
Bi Han
Bi Han is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
A painter from Korea’s late Joseon period, Bi Han captured scholarly life in ink on silk. His album Paintings of Shikan (Shrine for Poetry) shows poets gathered in a pine-clad pavilion, each brushstroke naming wind, paper, and tea. The set, dated 1808, sticks to monochrome tradition: no color, no landscape flourish, just the quiet space where brush meets page. To see how ink behaves under lamplight, tap the first leaf titled “Snow in the Courtyard.”
