This painter created religious scenes in 18th-century Romanian churches, where gold-leaf halos and deep cobalt blues were common. In “Iisus Hristos Învățător” (1778 and 1790) he shows Christ teaching with a simple scroll, while “Arhanghelii Mihail și Gavriil” pairs the archangels in flowing robes.
