Artist
M. Dubourg
M. Dubourg is a Romanticism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
M. Dubourg carried a tiny etching needle like a pocketknife, scratching city streets into copper plates at dawn when the light was still thin and gray. He captured Rome’s back alleys the way a baker remembers every loaf, slant of light on peeling shutters, the exact slope where a drainpipe broke. That print The Colonna Claude shows you a single doorway on the Aventine Hill; step through it and you’re suddenly inside a 200-year-old postcard.
