Artist
Hedayat-Ullah
Hedayat-Ullah is a Romanticism artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Victoria and Albert Museum.
Hedayat-Ullah carried a tiny brush everywhere he went, sketching tiny figures on scraps of paper, once on a chadar at a Delhi tea stall. The faces he drew always tilt their heads just so, like they’re listening to something you can’t hear. His "Untitled" (ca. 1800) shows a woman in a courtyard whose shadow stretches longer than she is tall; it feels like a quiet riddle. Look closely and you’ll spot his tiny signature tucked into the corner.
