Gabriel Engberg

Gabriel Engberg made moody night paintings of Finnish rivers and villages. His brush caught the hush of midnight sun in Maisema Lapista, kesäyö and the dark quiet of Vehmas saari. He painted Ponttoo and Kota (Yö) along the same shorelines, where lamplight from wooden houses glows on still water.
